Boys’ modern bedroom makeover
With a new year, we naturally start looking for ways to change and for me that usually means changing a space! I refreshed both of my son’s bedrooms using beautiful and functional furniture from Universal Furniture’s Spaces line. I love how easy they are to work with and are a great resource to me as an interior designer. I love their To The Trade program for their extensive furniture collections that are luxurious yet very approachable. Their new Spaces collection is young and eclectic and is smaller in scale which makes it perfect for bedrooms and other smaller spaces. It has many different styles of furniture in this collection and they also come in several beautiful finishes. I chose several different finishes when I chose these pieces for my sons’ bedrooms.
For my oldest son, I fell in love with the Everett accent chair. It was comfortable but had that urban, modern vibe I wanted for his room. It’s the perfect accent chair in that space!

I wanted functional yet sophisticated night stands and I found exactly what I was looking for in the Tanner night stand. With stainless steel base and this light gray finish, it was the look I wanted. Plus it has a lift lid with power and USB ports so everything can plug right into the piece.

The last piece I chose for his bedroom refresh is the Gable dresser with it’s contemporary look and amazing onyx finish and brass hardware. It’s beautiful and holds everything he needs it to!

My middle son’s room also got a New Year refresh. His room has a slightly different look and feel to it but I found wonderful pieces from the Spaces line for his room too! I wanted a big comfortable accent chair for the corner of his room and with it’s performance fabric and clean but comfortable lines, the Sterling chair was absolutely perfect!

He needed a night stand with a lot of storage since his room only has room for one. I also wanted power and USB for him. The Dorian night stand was the perfect size and had drawers for ample storage.
